  1. San Anton Gardens, Attard

These carefully planned gardens are our go-to choice for walks and an afternoon away from the hustle and bustle of the Maltese streets. They’re officially part of the President’s main residence in Attard, who also hosts several activities in these gardens throughout the year. 

  1. Buskett Gardens, Buskett

Situated between Dingli Cliffs and Mdina, these gardens are technically a mini-forest and are highly popular with the locals. Buskett also functions as a picnic pitstop if you’re hiking!

  1. Argotti Botanical Gardens, Floriana 

Argotti’s officially the Commonwealth’s third oldest botanical garden, and it also forms part of the University of Malta. Its location in Floriana means that you can easily grab a book and enjoy the peaceful surroundings after an intense day in the capital city of Valletta.

This rustic-style garden serves as a quiet spot in the busy outskirts of Floriana. Sa Maison is essentially a historic garden that dates back to the mid 18th century. It’s spread over five levels and enables you to experience a panoramic view of the bastions, sea and gardens.

Located on top of the St. John and the St Michael’s Bastions, these gardens offer 

stunning views of the Western part of the island. Legend has it that the Maltese managed to build this garden in 4 hours. Crazy, right?

There’s no better way to spend an afternoon than to pretend you’re Marie Antoinette as you’re walking along the twisting paths and treating yourself to coffee and cake at the palazzo!
